What is Motion Night?
Motion Night is our monthly event for middle school and high school students. These services are themed each month to create an atmosphere where your student will experience worship, a message from God’s Word, and a fun “after-party” with their peers. Motion Nights take place on the second Wednesday of every month at 16 of our Highlands locations! For more information click here!
What are City Groups?
City Groups are a type of small group offered to middle and high school students every Sunday night. Every location offers a city group for middle school students that takes place at the campus, as well as high school groups that take place in host homes. During the group, your student will play games, spend time in the Word, and break into small groups where they can grow in relationships with their peers and leaders. You can find out more information about city groups at your campus by contacting a student leader or staff member at your campus.
What is Motion Conference?
Motion Conference is our annual 3-day gathering for middle school, high school, and college students. The conference takes place in Birmingham, Alabama, and welcomes guest churches from all over the world to join us as we hear from guest speakers and artists like Rich Wilkerson Jr., Hillsong Worship, Levi Lusko, Kari Jobe with Cody Carnes and more. What is the 252 Internship?
The 2:52 internship is not only a lot of fun, but it also includes hands-on ministry training, in-depth teachings by the Highlands staff, and growth through life-giving relationships. If you commit to a semester of 2:52, you will grow in your relationship with God like never before!
Are there small groups for students?
YES! We offer small groups for middle school, high school, and college students at every campus. From ACT Prep groups to City Groups to ultimate frisbee and more, your student can find a group through our online directory here.
What do we offer for Middle School on Sunday mornings?
We encourage middle school students to “Worship One, Serve One” on Sundays! This means that they attend a service with their family and friends, and then dedicate another service time to serving others on the Dream Team. Whether on the greeter team, in Highlands Kids, or in the production booth, your middle schooler can go through the Growth Track and begin making a difference wherever they are!
How can I serve in Highlands Students?
There are several ways that you, as a parent, can serve our Highlands Students! You can lead a small group for students, serve at Motion Night, or serve at our annual conference. To learn more about how to get involved, you can go through the 3-step Growth Track at your campus. Check it out here!
Can my student serve on the Dream Team?
Absolutely! We encourage all students to be involved and serve on the Dream Team. For middle school students, one of the best ways they can serve is to join the JV Dream Team within Highlands Kids. They can do this by going through the Growth Track and selecting the JV team. High school and college students are welcome to join the Dream Team as well! Click here for more information, times, and locations for the Growth Track at your campus.
